I’m grateful you’ve found your way here.
I’m Tamara Abuleil, rooted in nature, a sun chaser, a mom to two boys, a cat, and a growing collection of plants—someone who finds joy in movement, whether through yoga or simply dancing through life. I’m also a certified yoga instructor and conscious coach through Dr. Shefali’s Institute, and the heart behind Yogi by Nature—a space rooted in the belief that we are all, by nature, whole.
My journey has taught me that resilience is not about pushing through or pretending to be unaffected by life’s challenges. It’s about learning how to stay connected to yourself through change, uncertainty, and adversity.
Having been born and raised in Palestine, I experienced from an early age what it means to live under military occupation, where freedom of movement and a sense of safety were often uncertain. Growing up in those conditions shaped my understanding of resilience long before I had words for it. It taught me to adapt, persevere, and find strength in community, while cultivating a deep appreciation for human dignity, connection, and belonging. These early experiences continue to shape how I navigate challenges, hold space for others, and approach my work today.
When I moved to the United States as a teenager, the search for belonging took on a different form. Caught between honoring my roots and adapting to a new culture, I often looked to others for a sense of belonging and validation. In the process, I slipped into people-pleasing patterns and gradually drifted away from my own voice and authenticity. Looking back, these experiences became some of my greatest teachers, showing me both the pain of disconnection and the strength that comes from returning to oneself.
Years later, yoga found me during early motherhood, when I was overwhelmed, overextended, and constantly placing everyone else’s needs before my own. What began as a physical practice became an invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect inward. It taught me how to find steadiness within, even when life felt demanding.
As a mother, I began noticing patterns within myself that I didn’t want to pass on to my children. That awareness opened the door to deeper reflection, healing, and conscious presence. I learned that resilience is also built through awareness—through the willingness to break generational patterns and choose differently.
My journey into conscious coaching deepened this transformation. It helped me unravel old wounds, reclaim my voice, and live with greater authenticity. Yoga and conscious coaching didn’t just change how I moved—they reshaped how I related to myself, my family, my community, and the world.
Today, this is the foundation of the work I share. Through yoga classes, workshops, community gatherings, chair yoga, kids’ yoga, and conscious coaching, I create spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies, cultivate self-awareness, and return to the wisdom already within them.
Yogi by Nature was born from the understanding that we are all—by our very nature—connected to something greater. The word yogi means “to yoke,” to unite, to remember the harmony between mind, body, and soul. Here, you’re invited to come home to that connection and walk your path of transformation with compassion, courage, and resilience.
As someone who speaks both English and Arabic, I offer guidance that bridges cultures and honors the richness of every story and identity.
This is my journey.
This is my purpose.
And I’m honored to walk beside you as you return to yours.
